PARIS XIe
On the sixth floor of this apartment by architect Victor Horta lives a music-loving Franco-Irish family for whom aesthetics hold a fundamental place. The terrace on the sixth floor is exposed to partial shade, the exterior vegetation illuminates the architecture of the building and extends the double living room.
On one side, the Japanese maple of the Acer Palmatum Atropurpureum variety is adjacent to the Carex Tenuissima grass, on the other, a white wisteria frames the French window where a Japanese maple Acer Palmatum Dissectum Garnet cut into niwaki (a ancestral Japanese cutting technique) is enhanced by the organic shapes of the pot.
